The camp has been booked for Saturday and Sunday (June 9th and June 10th).

Changes - Changes - Changes

There are wonderful changes at work with the H.B. & Alice Krout Family Reunion. Beginning in 2012 families will take turns hosting the reunion each year. Lois Richardson volunteered to have her family host it in 2012. Therefore, Willis Krout's family will host it in 2013, Harold Krout's family will host it in 2014, and Dale Krout's family will host it in 2015.

We have set a new date for the reunion in hopes of enjoying cooler weather. From now on, THE REUNION WILL BE HELD ON THE 2ND SUNDAY OF JUNE. Keeping this consistent will allow everyone to mark their calendars and keep that weekend free.

It is our hope that having the different families take turn hosting the reunion will get more people involved and produce new and exciting ways to have the reunion. The host will decide where the reunion will be, what the activities will be, and what food we will have. Watch your mailbox the end of May to see where to meet and other details. But remember, it will always be the 2nd Sunday of June.

Dianna and Annetta have been hosting the reunion for 19 years, and Tonya joined in to help them shorty after the reunions began. It has been a joy for them to host it but they felt it was time to get others involved in a bigger way. They look forward to seeing what fresh ideas come from this change.

It was Grandma Krout's wish that this reunion keep our family close and our relationships strong. Let's all work together to keep her dream alive! We love you all!

LUNCH BEGINS AT 1:00 PM but come early to have plenty of time to visit.
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs provided. Please bring a side dish, or desert to share.

If you would like to come out Saturday night and spend the night please contact Dianna at Dianna.Ditmore@north-ok.edu. It is always a great time of fun, games, snacks, and tons of laughter. Dianna will have a key to open the building and a time to meet will be planned based on those who would like to attend.

SCHEDULING PROBLEMS FOR 2010!

We originally planned to have the Krout Family Reunion every year on the 3rd weekend of July. However, when Dianna went to schedule the facilities this year they were already reserved by another party. I sent out the information on facebook and am very sorry that some people did not receive the information. I had thought I sent an email too but as I go through my sent files I can not find any evidence of such an email.

The date that had been listed on this blog was set up after last year's reunion and I just totally forgot to come back here and update it. I sincerely apologize to all for the confusion.

This year's reunion is currently scheduled for the weekend of August 14th and 15th but that is in conflict with a previously planned vacation so there could possibly be changes.

Please be patient as we try to resolve this problem.

2009 KROUT FAMILY REUNION

What a great time and a wonderful turnout!

We had 21 people come out to the lake on Saturday night. Some of us stayed up until 2:30 AM (and a few stayed up even later) just catching up, playing games, and sharing laughs. A few went in town for more comfortable beds but were able to stay for a good long visit before they had to leave.

Sunday we had a huge turnout and more wonderful food than we could possibly eat. It seems like every year we have new babies at the reunion and it is so fun to watch them all grow. This year we had 2 boys (Whittney & Charley's son Trevor and Leah's son Kade) and 1 girl (Mari and Harsha's daughter Amaya) that were born after last year's reunion. Andy & Cinda are expecting another baby in December so we will have at least one new baby next year. By my unofficial count there were 61 people at the reunion this year! (I will correct this information, if needed, once I talk to Tonya for an official count.) It is amazing to look around at that large room full of people and think about how it all began when 2 people fell in love, got married, and started a family.

Speaking of falling in love - Toni introduced everyone to her fiance, Greg Storm. They will be married on May 8th, 2010!

Also, Mollie Mosier was able to attend this year with her son Wes and his wife Eva.

We hope that everyone will be back again next year and that the few of you who were unable to join us this year will be able to come next year.

If you have not yet submitted a recipe (or two, or three, or . . . ) for the Krout Family Cookbook please do so as soon as possible. With everyone's help we will be able to have the cookbooks available at the 2010 family reunion.

Due to scheduling conflicts at NOC Cove we have had to move the reunion date to Sunday, August 2nd. Hopefully everyone will be able to attend!
